The word became flesh

” The word became flesh.” This means becoming human. In doing so, Jesus became our most perfect teacher. Through Jesus’ life we see how God thinks and how we should think (Philippians 2:5-11). Jesus was our model of how we should live (1 Peter 2:21). Jesus came as a sacrifice for all sins, his death satisfied God’s requirements for the removal of sin. ( Colossians 1:15-23).

Jesus is ” the one and only son, who came from the father.” Jesus is one of a kind, unique, and enjoys a  relationship with  God. When Christ was born he was not half man half God; he was 100% human, AND devine (Colossians 2:9). Before he came we could only know God partially, but when he came we could know God fully. Jesus is the greatest expression of God in human form. ( summary from NIV Life Application Study Bible).

The more you know God’s story, the more you know your own story. The more you know God, his character, and his ways, the more you know yourself. The Bible is one connected story from beginning to end. ( The Bibles, Big Picture. You Version Bible App. ~ The Infographic Bible Collection~).

Meditate on some verses that have special meaning to you, and thank God for his word.

Blessings… ~Paula~
